Dean’s List
• The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire has named the following local students to it’s Academic Distinction List. Brent Westra of Preston, a junior majoring in marketing; from Spring Valley Nicole Baker, a junior majoring in business administration, Tanya Buchholtz, a freshman with an undeclared major, and Aaron McCabe, a senior majoring in biology. Kristina Vetsch of Mabel, a senior majoring in nursing received both Academic Distinction and is listed on the School of Nursing’s Dean’s List.

• Julene Earley of Fountain graduated Cum Laude from Southwest State University on May 6th.
• Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, IA, announces the graduation of Armanda Hall of Lime Springs, Renee Frank of Spring Valley, and Marie Moeller of Spring Valley.
• Erin Woxland of Rushford graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a BS in Home Economics Education.
Studying Abroad
• Alissa Dornink of Preston is among 18 Northwestern College students who studied in Taiwan earlier this summer. She toured social agencies, government offices, the national police academy and a national prison while studying religion and social problems caused by Taiwan’s rapid modernization. Dornink is a junior at Northwestern College in Orange City, IA, and is majoring in sociology.Dean’s List
