Bonnie E. Streit

Bonnie E. Streit, 55, of Ralston, Neb., formerly of Spring Valley, died of cancer June 26, 2001 at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, Neb.

She was born Nov. 25, 1945 in Spring Valley. In 1964, she married Arthur Barrett. He died July 13, 1984. A resident of the Omaha area the past 48 years, she was a self-employed sculptor and painter, and enjoyed wildlife.

Survivors include two daughters, Crystell Roubal and Diana Barrett, both of Omaha; six grandchildren; her mother, Evelyn (Schultz-Streit) Jacobson of Omaha and Spring Valley; a brother, Robert Streit of Spring Valley; and a sister, Dixie Lee Streit of Omaha. Her father preceded her in death.

The funeral was June 30, 2001, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Spring Valley. The Rev. Dennis Timmerman officiated. Burial was in Martin Luther Cemetery (Midway Cemetery) in rural Spring Valley. Hindt-Hutchins Funeral Home in Spring Valley was in charge of arrangements.
