Arnold Tieskotter, 87, of Harmony, died August 15, 2000 at the Harmony Nursing Home.
He was born January 16, 1913 to Henry William and Clara (Shimek) Tieskotter of Decorah, IA. He farmed in rural Castalia, moving to the Preston area in 1951. He remained on the farm until 1974, when he moved to Harmony after his retirement. Arnold loved polka dancing and fishing.
Survivors include three sons, Richard (Darlene) Tieskotter of Aurora, CO, Clair (Josephine) Tieskotter of Harmony, Bill (Mary) Tieskotter of Preston; a daughter, Jean (Bob) Mullen of Auburn, WA; 11 grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and a sister, Eleanor (Elmer) Slifka of Decorah. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred, a son, Jim, his parents, a brother, Gordon and a sister, Gertrude Schissel.
The funeral for Mr. Teiskotter was held Friday, August 18, 2000 at Greenfield Lutheran Church in Harmony with Rev. John Hagen officiating. Lindstrom Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
