5th DistrictBeing a life-long resident of Fillmore County I look forward to the opportunity to serve on the Board of Commissioners if elected. I have served on the Canton City Council for the past eight years. I am presently employed by Rochester School Bus/Strains Bus Company for whom I have worked the past 10 years. In 1984, I graduated from the Minnesota School of Business with a degree in Business Management and Accounting. Also, I am a 14 year volunteer on the Canton Fire Department serving as their Secretary and Treasurer. I am a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Canton.
District Five has been represented very well the past 15 years by Robert Underbakke and I would like to continue on with representing all of our concerns and plans to build a greater area in which to raise our families. Zoning and land-use issues are a big concern of mine and I would welcome the opportunity to have input into treating everyone fairly and on a consistent basis. Another area of great concern is the high turn-over ratio of employee's in our county, we need to build a better and stronger relationship between the board, department heads and all of the employees. If I am elected your commissioner my door will always be open to listen to your concerns and comments and to address them as to the way I see them helping and benefiting us all in building a better Fillmore County.
