Flavia Harriet Rindels

Flavia Harriet Rindels, 84, of Greenleafton, died February 23, 2002 at the home of her daughter in Rochester.

Flavia Harriet Miller was born Oct. 11, 1917, in Forestville Township, Fillmore County. She attended Flying Cloud School in Carimona Township. On Oct. 2, 1940, she married Virgil Rindels. The couple lived in the Greenleafton area all their married lives. Mrs. Rindels was a housewife. She was a lifelong member of Greenleafton Reformed Church and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Janet (Casey) Schmidt of Mission Viejo, Calif., Joan (Paul) Austinson of Rochester, and Sandra (Lyle) Nienow of Lewiston; two sons, Lester (Pat) and Terry (Kaynel), both of Preston; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Emily Huesinkveld of Ostrander. One granddaughter, one sister and two brothers preceded her in death.

The funeral was held February 27, 2002 at Greenleafton Reformed Church, with the Rev. Jonathan Loper officiating. Burial was in Greenleafton Cemetery. Thauwald Funeral Home in Preston was in charge of arrangements.
