Was down to Winona over the weekend to see my daughter Karen. They have a beautiful home on this end of Winona coming from Rushford, dont even have to hit a red light or get into traffic. They live in such a quite place now and their backyard is down a steep hill and there is a creek at the bottom. Every morning and night they have as many as four deer come in their back yard and of course Ed put out ear corn for them. The morning I was staying there, I looked out the big living room window about 7:00 and there stood a big beautiful deer eating on the ear of corn. They have many birds, squirrels, chip monks and a big fat coon coming and eating. Karen puts out lots of bird seeds, peanut in the shell, and apples. You feel you are in a big forest when you sit and watch the cute animals eat and play. What a great weekend. Thanks Karen and Andy for taking me down.

A little girl, enchanted by her new baby cousin asked her mother, cant we have a baby? I dont think so darling, her mother replied. They cost too much. How much? the child asked. Oh, about $4,000 her mother said. The youngster thought for a moment, then said, thats not very much, when you consider how long they last.

Why do we have chicken that cant talk?
Because God does not like foul language.

Dont laugh at the coffee, you too may be old and weak some day.

Humans are the only species that allow their children to move back home after theyve left the nest.

Happy Fathers Day ~Walk a little Plainer Daddy
Walk a little plainer daddy, Said a little boy so frail
Im following in your footsteps and I dont want to fail.
Sometimes your steps are very plain
Sometimes they are hard to see
So walk a little plainer daddy. For you are leading me.
I know that once you walked this way many years ago
And what you did along the way
Id really like to know. For sometimes when I am tempted
I dont know what to do
So walk a little plainer daddy for I must follow you.
Someday when Im grown up you are like I want to be
Then I will have a little boy who will want to follow me
And I would want to lead him right and help him to be true
So walk a little plainer daddy for we must follow you.

~Until next week, Annabelle
