Arnold - Rebecca M. ‘Becki’

Rebecca M. ‘Becki’ Arnold, 50, of Fountain, died Jan. 21, 2005 at Rochester Methodist Hospital following a long illness with cancer.

Rebecca Marie Erickson was born Nov. 7, 1954, in Albert Lea to Donald and Ellen (Boyd) Erickson. She graduated from Sandstone, Minn., High School in 1973 and from the University of Minnesota-Waseca in 1975. On Sept. 20, 1975, she married Jerry Arnold at Danforth School near Sandstone. She was activities director at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield for 18 years and worked at Charter House in Rochester for eight years. She was named State Activities Director in 1999 and National Activities Director in 2000. Mrs. Arnold was a member of the Fountain United Methodist Church and Statewide Activity Professionals.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Allyssa Arnold (Travis Martin) of La Crosse, Wis.; four sisters, Diane Kukuk and Mary (Todd) Anderson, both of Sandstone, Jo Ellen (James) Hamann of Lanesboro and Laurie (Mark Madison) Reed of Grasston, Minn.; and three brothers, Donald (Muriel) Erickson of Pine River, Minn., David (Joan) Erickson of Askov, Minn., and Michael (Bobbie) Erickson of River View, Fla. Her parents preceded her in death.

A memorial service for Rebecca M. “Becki” Arnold was Jan. 29 at United Methodist Church in Preston, with the Rev. Mark Rader officiating. Hindt Funeral Home in Spring Valley was in charge of arrangements.
