Charlie Graling's Letter To the Editor,

It appears to me in regards to the controversial tire to energy issue that the residents of Fillmore County aren't really interested in air pollution, they only don't want the air polluted in their own back yards or community. I estimate that there is far more air pollution in Fillmore County by rural burning of tires, plastic, glossy paper and other garbage in peoples back yards or farms, than both the pro-corn plant and tire to energy plant combined.

I think the solution is enforcement of no back yard burning of garbage, rather than shut down an energy plant. I don't burn my garbage and poison the air that my grandchildren will have to breath some day and I don't think anyone else has the right to poison the air.
