Junge's Letter To the Editor,

Posted in Letter to the Editor

The annual meeting of the Fillmore County Agricultural Society (Fairboard) was held Thursday, November 7. At the meeting a small representation of folks who make up the Ag Society were present. They were successful in nominating and electing several new directors to your Fairboard. Since that meeting, several directors who were not up for re-election have also resigned.

I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Darrell Erickson, Harold Johnson, Elwyn Mensink, Luther Olson, Don Redalen, Terry Rindels, Mike Schwarz and Dave Sikkink who are going off the Board. I also want to thank Les Hellickson and those others who remain on the Board. These individuals have given me the help and support I have needed over the past years to do my job as Secretary of the Fairboard. I thank them for the privilege of serving in this capacity.

I hope that the people of Fillmore County will make a special effort to convey your thanks and appreciation to these individuals. They have contributed hours and hours of time and energy to the Fillmore County Fair. The combined total years of service for these retiring Directors of the Fillmore County Agricultural Society total well over 180 years.

Sandy Junge

Past Secretary

Fillmore County Ag Society
