Rita Ann Wade, 45, of LeRoy, was sentenced to 20 days in jail and fined $750, after pleading guilty on April 23, to one count of felony burglary. All other charges were dismissed as part of the plea arrangement.

Tuchek sent back to prison

DULUTH - John Tuchek is returning to prison for violating the terms of his release. The former Lanesboro Police Chief was ordered back to prison for 160 days after being arrested on July 12 in Duluth for harassing and stalking behavior. A hearing on the matter was held in St. Louis County on July 24.
Tuchek was found guilty of eight counts of arson for the April 7, 2002 "hero fire" that destroyed three buildings in Lanesboro's downtown district. At the time, Tuchek was trying to impress a girl friend by saving her from the fire he set.
Tuchek served nearly four years of his six year sentence in prison before being released last October. Tuchek was under supervised release when he was arrested on July 12.
As a convicted felon, Tuchek must comply with standard conditions of release that include abiding by the terms of his probation. Tuchek also had special conditions of release, including no contact with certain third parties not identified in court documents. It also included Tuchek complying with any programming for anger management and domestic assault as directed by his probation officer.
As of July 25, the Minnesota Department of Correction website showed Tuchek's status as: incarcerated, Lino Lakes.
