BARABOO, Wis. – Foremost Farms USA® has once again joined the ranks as one of “America’s Healthiest Companies”. For the second time, the Wellness Council of America (WELCOA), with local affiliate Wellness Council of Wisconsin, has awarded Foremost Farms the GOLD Well Workplace Award for its unparalleled commitment to improving and maintaining the health and wellbeing of its employees.

The Well Workplace Awards initiative is outlined by a precise set of criteria along with a very thorough application process which is 300 pages long and documents the applicant’s wellness initiatives over a one-year period. Foremost Farms’ Benefits and Wellness Manager, Lisa Reimer, says, “Foremost Farms has created an encouraging, active and healthy workplace for our employees over the years. We also strive to integrate wellness programming into our daily vision and mission,” said Reimer.

By earning the Well Workplace Award, Foremost Farms has made a long-lasting commitment to the health and well being of its employees. Reimer will accept the award on behalf of Foremost Farms the evening of September 24 at the WELCOA awards ceremony in Milwaukee, Wis.

“This achievement reinforces a core value at Foremost Farms -- to inspire a culture of wellness among employees and their families,” says Foremost Farms President Dave Fuhrmann.

The Wellness Council of Wisconsin was founded in 1985 by nine employers from the Wisconsin business community. It joins more than 5,000 member organizations, located throughout North America, that belong to WELCOA which is highly recognized and regarded for their innovative and results-oriented approach to worksite wellness.

“Our employees are our most valuable asset. We know that sustaining employee efforts to reduce health risks, and motivating them with supportive programs and tactics, will improve their health and reduce health care costs at the same time,” Fuhrmann concluded.
