Olmsted Medical Center and OMC regional foundation welcome new board members

Rochester, MN—Olmsted Medical Center (OMC) and OMC Regional Foundation (OMCRF) welcomed new volunteer board members and appointed new volunteer board leaders in 2015.

OMC’s Board of Trustees (BOT) provides oversight of OMC’s management and operations. The board’s 16 members are eligible for two three-year terms and are a combination of OMC caregivers and members of the communities OMC serves. OMC’s President Kathryn Lombardo, MD, is an ex-officio member of the BOT. OMC’s Chief Executive Officer, Tim Weir, and Medical Vice Presidents (James Hoffmann, DO, and Randy Hemann, MD) also attend BOT meetings.

New OMC board trustees in 2015 are:

• Dan Christianson (F & M Community Bank), Preston

• Hal Henderson (Hammel, Green & Associates/HGA), Rochester

• Greg House (House Chevrolet), Stewartville

The BOT also appointed Ken Brown (Spring Green Lawn & Tree Care), Rochester, as board chair.

OMC Regional Foundation’s Board of Directors (BOD) mainly is comprised of people representing the communities OMC serves. Other members include the chair of OMC’s BOT, OMC’s president, OMC’s chief executive officer, and an OMC clinician.

New OMCRF board members in 2015 are:

• Ken Brown (Spring Green Lawn & Tree Care), Rochester

• Mike Malugani (Smith, Schafer & Associates, Ltd.), Rochester

• Michael Tuohy (Tuohy Furniture), Chatfield

The BOD also appointed John Doyle (Merchants Bank), Rochester, as board president.

Additionally, OMC’s Board of Governors recently announced the following new department chairpersons:

• Mark Wilbur, MD, is physician chair of OMC’s 10 branch clinics

• Peter Arndt, MD, is physician chair of OMC’s pediatric medicine department

Olmsted Medical Center (OMC), a not-for-profit organization, has been southeastern Minnesota’s hometown healthcare provider since 1949. OMC’s 160 clinicians and 1,000 healthcare professionals serve at 18 locations, including two outpatient multi-specialty clinics, a Level IV trauma hospital with 24-hour emergency room, two walk-in FastCare retail clinics in Rochester Shopko stores, a Skyway clinic in downtown Rochester’s 318 Commons Building, and 10 community branch clinics.
