Preston Area Community Foundation Grant

Sat, Dec 4th, 2010
Posted in Arts & Culture

The Preston Area Community Foundation awarded a grant to the Commonweal Theatre during their 2010 season. It allowed residents and employees of the Preston area free admission to attend five plays on specific nights during 2010. Over 700 people attended these five plays.

In this photo, Chuck Aug, treasurer of the Preston Area Community Foundation, is presenting a check to Hal Cropp, artistic director of the Commonweal Theatre, for "Free Preston Night."

The foundation has also awarded grants to Fillmore Central for bringing Ann Bancroft, Arctic and Antarctica explorer, to address all Fillmore Central students and to the City of Preston for creating the National Trout Learning Center. A grant has also been earmarked to the city of Preston for a new playground and equipment.

These are examples of how the Preston Area Community Foundation is supporting programs and projects that improve the quality of life and build a stronger community in the greater Preston Area.
