Animal Tracks

Fri, Aug 19th, 2011
Posted in Arts & Culture

Hark! Who goes there? Even though we don't see most of them, there are all kinds of animals running around outside. With a little bit of looking, though, you can find all kinds of signs that animals have been around: tracks, trails, poop, feathers, and more. In this program Saturday, August 27 at 7:00 p.m. you'll get to make a plaster cast of an animal track to take home and go on a hike to look for animal signs.

Please note that we will be driving to one or more sites, so a parent with a vehicle must accompany all children. We will be hiking in the woods, so wear good walking shoes and long pants. Pre-registration is required and the program is limited to 25 people. There is a suggested donation of $3 per person for the program.

The Houston Nature Center is located one block north of the intersection of Highways 16 and 76 in Houston on West Plum Street in Trailhead Park. For more information or to register contact the Nature Center at 507-896-4668 or nature@acegroup.cc.
