Kenneth B. Miller

Kenneth B. Miller, 61, of rural Spring Valley, died March 28, 2001 at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City after becoming ill while traveling.

He was born July 24, 1939, in Highland Township, Wabasha County. He attended St. Felix schools in Wabasha and graduated in 1957. He married Sandra K. Kuhl on Feb. 7, 1970, in Spring Valley, and they lived in Plainview for a short time before moving to rural Spring Valley. He was a self-employed carpenter who enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Legion of Mary.

Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Bridget (Paul) Grafe of Racine, Laura (Erling) Grant of Preston, Debbie (Jon) Westphal of Spring Valley, and Elizabeth and Jacqueline Miller, both at home; a son, Charles, of Spring Valley; two sisters, Mary (John) Wolf, of Kellogg and Ruth (Gerald) Klein, of Wabasha; seven brothers, Francis (Viola) of Plainview, Gerald (Marilyn) of Cottage Grove, Minn., Paul (Julie) of Kellogg, Donald (Patricia) of North Aurora, Ill., Leo (Marcine) of Wabasha, James (Sue) of Elgin and Mark (Gail) of Millville; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and three sons.

The funeral for Kenneth B. Miller was held April 4, 2001 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Spring Valley, with the Rev. Russell Scepaniak officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
