Betty Ann Haakeson

Betty Ann Haakeson, 56, of Harmony died May 29, 2001 at Regional Health Services of Howard County, Iowa.

She was born Dec. 13, 1944. at Giese, Minn., the daughter of Carl and Maybell (Csieh) Haakeson. She entered the State Hospital at Rochester in 1973 and in 1977 came to Fillmore County under the care of Handicapped Services.

Survivors include two sisters, Lorraine (Gene) Jahnz of Farmington, Minn., and Mary Lou Widmyer of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; her guardian and special friend, Darlene Wolter and family of Nodine and her many friends at her supervised living home in Harmony. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Services for Betty Ann Haakeson were held June 1, 2001 at Greenfield Lutheran Church in Harmony. Burial was in Hiler Cemetery in Nodine, Minn. Lindstrom Funeral Home in Harmony was in charge of arrangements.
