Frances M. Miller

Frances M. Miller, 96, of Harmony, a homemaker, died February 9, 2002 at Harmony Healthcare Center where she had resided since 1998.

Frances M. Sprague was born Dec. 17, 1905, in Todd County, Minn., and grew up in the Fergus Falls area. On May 29, 1925, she married Charles Miller at the Todd County Courthouse. They farmed near Prosper and later moved to Harmony where they farmed and her husband also was a mail carrier. She was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Garden Club and enjoyed sewing, reading and cooking.

Survivors include three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Marian Hoefer of Boise, Idaho; and a brother, Robert (Jackie) Sprague of Tacoma, Wash. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, three brothers and three sisters.

The funeral service was held Feb. 12, 2002 at the United Methodist Church in Harmony, with the Rev. David Laechel officiating. Burial was in Burr Oak Cemetery at Burr Oak, Iowa. Lindstrom Funeral Home in Harmony was in charge of arrangements.
