Caledonia boys’ basketball, ranked #3 in AA, stayed perfect by beating D-E 92-68 and then AAA Byron 80-64 at the ‘Rochester Hoops Challenge’. Eli King had two 28-point performance while Jackson Koepke went for 21 and 23. La Crescent/Hokah (4-0, 7-0) and the Warriors (3-0, 9-0) are both undefeated atop the TRC East. L-A (4-0, 9-0) and PEM (3-0, 9-0) are atop the TRC West.  Spring Grove’s boys beat M-C 67-32 and Schaeffer 58-14. Elijah Solum had 30 points versus the ‘other’ Lions, while Tysen Grinde added 20 (pts), 9 (rebs), 7 (asts), and 6 (stls). Wade Grinde’s guys (5-0, 7-2) have an early stranglehold on the SEC-East ahead of S.A. (2-3, 3-7) and M-C (2-3, 4-5). SG has beaten each of their East contemporaries once by an average of 41 points. R-P’s boys (2-1, 6-2) held W-K to 18 points in posting a 54-18 win.  Kingsland (3-2, 4-4) posted wins over Schaeffer 53-32 and G-E 75-26. Jayden Brink had 20 points versus the Wolverines. Alex Arneson had 20 points as M-C beat Houston 69-44. Roman Warmka had 22 points, but GM lost 70-42 to #6 Hayfield. Sydney Torgerson had 21 points as Houston’s girls beat M-C 58-36. FC’s girls (then 1-8) dropped Lanesboro girls (then 7-3) by a 55-40 final. The Burros (3-1, 8-4) responded by beating AC/GE 69-32 behind Kaci Ruen’s 23 points. Jordan Runde had 23 points as L-O beat USC 56-28. Kaylee Ruberg had 23 points, but R-P fell to L-A 49-37. Chatfield and Cal/Hou took on Crestwood’s Flanagan Invite wrestling tourney. Gophers Kail Schott (170) was the sole champion for those two teams. Chatfield’s ranked wrestlers are Javier Berg (#9 at 106), Gage Bartels (#5 at 113), Kail Schott (#4 at 170), Grady Schott (#1 at 182), and Campbell Berge (#6 at 195). Cal/Hou’s ranked wrestlers are Brandon Ross (#1 at 126), Owen Denstad (#9 at 132), Isaac Blocker (#3 at 138), and Tucker Ginther (#6 at 145). GMLOS’ ranked wrestlers are Cohen Wiste (#6 at 138) and Donavon Felten (#5 at 160).  LARP and FCLMC don’t have anyone ranked.
