Ernest Herman Harry, age 86 passed into eternal life on December 13, 2020, at Tweeten Care Center, after a hard battle with dementia.
He was born October 31, 1934, in Menomonie, Wis., to Herman and Vella (Yoder) Harry. He graduated from Boyceville High School.
Ernie married Lorraine Reinhord on November 12, 1955. Their daughter Linda moved them both to Spring Grove in 2016. Prior to that, they had lived in Fridley, Minn., for 56 years.
Ernie started his first business, Ernie’s Janitor Service, in the late ‘50s. He later changed the name to Ultimate Building Services. He started his second business in 1970, Ultimate Numbering Machine Services. He sold, rented, and repaired numbering machines, doing business mainly with printers.
He won the NABI championship twice.
Ernie is survived by daughters Barbara (Harry) Hall and Linda (Gerald) Tollefsrud, granchildren Christopher (Becky) Tuveson, Erica Brooks, Jeremy (Alicia) Tuveson, Stacey (Ron) Harness and Angela Harry; step-grandchildren Christine (Kevin) Van Horn and Todd (Charlene) Tollefsrud, 21 great-grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brothers Mike Harry and Philip Harry.
Ernie was preceded in death by his parents, son Robert, wife Lorraine, sister Joan Clover, and granddaughter Beth Peterson.
The family would like to thank Tweeten Care Center for the excellent care he received.
Funeral services will be in the spring.
