Lanesboro’s Hayden Lawstuen and Logan Torgerson (#44) are both focused on blocking Mabel-Canton’s Alex Arneson. In an SEC battle, M-C fought for the upset, but John Prestemon’s free throw line jumper with 0:02 left propelled the Burros to a 51-49 win.

Three Rivers Conference

Fillmore Central 56, La Crescent/Hokah 80 (FC: J. Kiehne 20 pts (7-14 FGs, 6-8 FTs), 4 asts; L. Hellickson 12 pts (6-7 FTs), 6 rebs.  LCH had 28 offensive rebounds to FC’s 10, out-shooting FC 29 of 75 (39%) to 18 of 44 (41%))

Chatfield 57, Wabasha-Kellogg 46 (C: C. Johnson 20 pts (9-14 FGs), 6 rebs, 5 asts, 4 stls; E. Hopp 13 pts, 5 asts, 5 stls; D. Schindler 10 pts, 8 rebs. Chatfield won despite going 9 of 25 at the free throw line (38%).  It was their fifth straight)

#7 in AA Plainview-Elgin-Millville 60, Chatfield 56 (C: D. Schindler 14 pts (5-6 FTs), 4 rebs, 5 asts, 4 stls; D. O’Connor 13 pts (5-7 FGs), 8 rebs; E. Hopp 11 pts; Sam Backer 11 pts (5-8 FGs), 9 rebs; C. Johnson 7 pts, 6 asts.  Gophers’ five-game win streak snapped) 

Southeast Conference

Houston 45, Mabel-Canton 65 (M-C: C. Tollefsrud 23 pts (10-18 FGs), 5 rebs, 6 stls; Jordan Larson 14 pts, 7 rebs, 5 asts; Jaymeson Tollefsrud 14 pts (5-9 FGs, 3-5 threes); Alex Arneson 10 pts (4-6 FGs), 10 rebs.  H: Maddox Rodriguez 13 pts; Morgan Rohweder 9 pts (3-8 threes); Kenneth Grupe 8 pts (6-8 FTs), 5 rebs.  Cougars sweep season series)

Kingsland’s Jayden Brink drives into Houston’s Carter Geiwitz and gets a foul to go along with the shot. Kingsland won a Friday night SEC game, 65-33. It was the Knights’ fourth straight win.

Grand Meadow 51, LeRoy-Ostrander 54 (L-O: L. Royston 27 pts (11-19 FGs, 4-11 threes), 10 rebs; Gavin Sweeney 10 pts, 5 rebs.  GM: T. Glynn 18 pts; Roman Warmka 14 pts; Jace Kraft 13 pts.  Cardinals sweep season series)

Kingsland 79, Glenville-Emmons 28 (K: Nick Eickhoff 16 pts (7-9 FGs); Walker Erdman 14 pts (4-5 FTs), 10 rebs; Mason Kolling 12 pts (6-7 FGs), 6 rebs; J. Brink 11 pts (3-7 threes).  Knights posted a season-high points, scored 50 in first half)

Schaeffer Academy 40, LeRoy-Ostrander 57 (L-O: Tanner Olson 19 pts (9-14 FGs), 7 rebs; Chase Johnson 13 pts, 4 asts; L. Royston 8 pts, 9 rebs, 5 asts.  L-O sweeps season series with Lions.  Cardinals > 8-5, 15-8)

Kingsland 65, Houston 33 (K: W. Erdman 13 pts, 13 rebs; J. Brink 12 pts; N. Eickhoff 11 pts (3-6 threes); Kale Mensink 8 pts.  H: M. Rodriguez 9 pts.  Kingsland hit 9 of 23 threes (39%), 10 Knights scored, as team double-K (6-8, 10-14) won its fourth straight.  Houston > 1-11, 1-22)

Lanesboro 51, Mabel-Canton 49 (L: J. Prestemon 20 pts, 7 rebs; Reece Benson 15 pts (5-9 threes).  M-C: C. Tollefsrud 16 pts (3-13 threes), 12 rebs; J. Larson 10 pts.  Cougars led by as many as eight in first (24-16).  Lanesboro led by as many as 10 in the second.  Up 40-30, Burros gave up 14-2 run to trail 44-42.  Down 47-46, Benson hit a three to put Burros up 49-47.  C-Tollefsrud was then hit two free throw to tie game 49-49.  Prestemon hit a free throw line jumper with 0:02 left for the win.  Burros > 7-5, 14-9.  Cougars > 3-9, 8-16)

Randolph 55, Lanesboro 48 (L: J. Prestemon 12 pts, 5 rebs, 5 asts; Mason Howard 10 pts, 4 asts.  R: Clay Nielsen 22 pts, 26 rebounds.  Burros shot 19 of 59 (32%).  FTs: L 5 of 11 (46%), R 14 of 26 (54%).  Nielson had 16 offensive boards)

Kingsland 56, Blooming Prairie 50 (K: J. Brink 23 pts (5-10 threes, 9-17 FGs); W. Erdman 14 pts, 17 rebs; Kaden Rath 8 pts (4-6 FTs).  Knights led by six (31-25) at halftime and won by six.  Brink was 5 of 10 from deep, all other Knights 2 of 17)

Lanesboro 69, Fillmore Central 56 (L: J. Prestemon 19 pts (8-14 FGs), 7 rebs, 10 asts; M. Howard 18 pts (4-7 threes); Stephan Schultz 18 pts (8-13 FGs), 12 rebs; Parker Storhoff 8 pts, 5 rebs.  FC: J. Kiehne 20 pts (8-10 FTs); L. Hellickson 11 pts (3-6 threes), 6 rebs; Will Parker 7 pts, 5 rebs.  Burros built a 36-25 halftime lead.  FC got as close as 45-40, but no closer.  FGs: L 27 of 55 (49%), FC 18 of 58 (31%).  Threes: L 7 of 13 (54%), FC 6 of 30 (20%).  FTs: FC 14 of 20 (70%), L 8 of 16 (50%))

Cotter 62, Houston 38 (H: M. Rohweder 13 pts; Connor Porter 11 pts)

Pine Island 55, Grand Meadow 44 (GM: R. Warmka 14 pts; J. Kraft 13 pts; T. Glynn 9 pts; Connor Munson 8 pts.  Panthers hit 10 threes to GM four, expanded a 29-27 halftime lead in second stanza.  Larks > 5-8, 9-15)

Chatfield 57, Pine Island 70 (C: C. Johnson 21 pts, 8 asts, 6 stls; D. Schindler 11 pts; S. Backer 9 pts.  Gophers led 31-30 at intermission but got out-scored 40-26 in second half.  Panthers hit nine threes to Chatfield’s four.  PI made 13 of 14 second half free throws while Chatfield was 9 of 10.  Gophers > 7-6, 15-8)
